This Sunday 06th November, we have a special guest Heather, volunteer in 'Cycle Basingstoke' group and worked as a physiotherapist in hospitals, the community and industry. So can answer a lot of questions on mental and physical health benefits of Cycling.
All parents and kids are welcome as kids need to know the eco-friendly transportation alternatives to avoid cars in day to day life where ever possible.
The session would cover;
cycle skills & cycle training options
- where can we cycle? choosing routes
what can we use the cycle for? for fun, for useful journeys, shopping, going to school, to work, to visit friends, to visit places...
Family cycling including women, kids
overcome nervous of cycling on roads
how can we carry the shopping groceries, the school bag, laptop....
what sort of bike to buy and from where
bike security – maintenance, locks, bells, lights
personal security – clothing; cycle skills and cycle training
