Organic farming has been followed from ancient times in India in natural way. It is a unique method which is primarily aimed at use of only natural resources for cultivation. Supply of nutrients to crops are naturally done for increased sustainable production in a healthy environment without any outside intervention. But in recent times some organic products and bio-fertilizers also used in limited quantities based on necessary.
Over the years, it has become commonplace to understand and define organic agriculture as farming without synthetic pesticides and conventional fertilizers. This should not be considered a definition but a characteristic of a socially and environmentally conscious approach to agriculture that is currently experiencing rapid growth in the sector. India is fast becoming a major base for production and supply of organically produced agricultural products to the world market. During the year 2009-10, India exported organically raised commodities at worth of US$116 billion
The organic foods offer higher returns in comparison to conventional foods. The market for organic foods is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 20-22%. Thus there is an evident requirement of organic farming technical professionals who are skilled and developed to facilitate the business at a global standpoint. These professionals should have a thorough knowledge of systems which are used in organic farming and understanding of various approaches used in organic food production systems.

Duration:
The academic program is 3 Months long.
120 hours of classes including practical and exams. Weekly 10 hours online. Practical: 4 sessions each 4 hours or day long, 1 field visit.Eligibility Criteria:
All those who have completed their 10th standard, 10+2 standard, graduation or post-Graduation/ PhD are eligible to enroll for the course.
There is no age limit for this course.Examination & Certification:
All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the course, usually after every module) and appear for an online exam at the end of the course. After successful completion, the participants will be awarded Diploma in Organic / Natural Farming.Employment Opportunities:
